Highlighting Ramtek’s rich cultural heritage and immense tourism potential, Maharashtra’s Minister of State for Finance, Adv. Ashish Jaiswal, said that the contribution and cooperation extended by former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar toward the development of Ramtek would always be remembered. He noted that the town’s ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ram, other historic shrines, and its picturesque lakes offer a strong foundation for sustainable development through culture and tourism.

Adv. Jaiswal was speaking to the audience at Nehru Ground, Ramtek, during the second day of the Ramtek Tourism and Cultural Festival, on the occasion of a live concert by Padma Shri awardee and renowned singer Sonu Nigam. Addressing the gathering, he announced plans to develop a grand ground in Ramtek with a seating capacity of nearly one lakh spectators. This initiative, he said, would significantly enhance infrastructure and make it easier to host large-scale cultural and entertainment events in the future.

Following his address, Sonu Nigam took the stage and mesmerized thousands of music lovers with one soulful performance after another. Along with his popular Hindi hits, he also presented Marathi songs, earning special appreciation from the local audience. The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause to every song, as Nehru Ground echoed with music, energy, and joy. Many spectators were seen swaying to the rhythm, creating a truly festive atmosphere.

The Ramtek Tourism and Cultural Festival witnessed an overwhelming response from residents of Ramtek city and surrounding areas. The festival will conclude on February 2 with a musical performance by celebrated singer Sudesh Bhosale, promising yet another memorable evening for music enthusiasts.
